Pennsylvania - Respiratory Therapy License Requirements

Pennsylvania requires

At least 30 CEU hours are required every 2 years.

Mandatory Courses:

1 CEU hour must be on Medical Ethics
1 CEU hour must be on Patient Safety
2 CEU hours must be on recognition and reporting of child abuse
10 CEU hours are required where presenter is in involved, like in a classroom lecture, clinical presentation, real-time web-cast or other live sessions.

License Renewal Date:

Your license will expire on December 31st on every even-numbered year unless it is renewed by the next biennium.

You are correct. For California RT's, the ethics course must come from the State board of California or the AARC. You can find the AARC ethics course here
